泰國理工學院(Thailand Institute of Scientific and Tech. Research at Chatuchak)的研究指出:
Plai的主要成分DMPBD的多方向功效類似於知名的止痛藥DICLOFENAC ,但其效果是該藥的兩倍以上,在天然植物提煉的精油中,這是相當珍貴的發現。
參考藥物年監說明,DICLOFENAC的作用是:
非類固醇化合物,具有顯著的抗風濕、抗發炎、鎮痛解熱。也常用於手術後疼痛控制、消炎、以及肌肉方面疼痛之舒緩,對於婦科方面的疼痛(經痛),以及耳鼻喉發炎引起的疼痛的輔助治療劑。
